Savelugu NDC youth locks up NHIS offices

Some irate NDC youth in the Savelugu district of the Northern Region have locked up the district National Health Insurance Scheme offices.

The action sought to protest the appointment of persons described as aliens occupying the claims Manager and Accountant positions.


Their leader, Adam Abdul Ganiyu said there were equally qualified indigenes from Savelugu who could manage the scheme.

According to him, the National Health Insurance Authority turned down their application in protest against the district scheme management.

This, he explained informed their decision to lock up the offices.

The agitators have hence vowed to have the NHIS offices locked until their concerns are addressed.
