Water extension project underway

Water Shortage
The Tolon District Assembly is making the necessary move to expand its water system to enable it meet the growing demands for potable water in Tolon and the surrounding environs.

District Chief Executive for the area, Iddi Manzah Mahama interacting with on the project said that already 2 overhead tanks had been installed, awaiting the Ghana Water Company limited to come and lay the pipes for connection to begin in the project areas.

He said the project is being supported by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and will cover some towns like Nyankpala and Gbulung all suburbs in the district.

According to him, the project is nearing completion and will shortly be accomplished for residents, adding that all things being equal the move will assist the Assembly to open up the water system to reach out to many households with regards to water supply.

The project is part of measures by government to keep the “Better Ghana” agenda on track in the district.
