The founder of MA Love Foundation, Reverend Mike Nii Abossey has donated an incubator, worth GHc37,000, to the Wa Regional Hospital at a short ceremony at the hospital.

Reverend Mike Nii Abossey, who also doubles as resident pastor with Joy FM, said the gesture was in fulfillment of pledge he made during a similar donation to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Reverend Abossey said there is something in him that is not satisfied with the statuesque where the country is constantly struggling to provide efficient medical care due to the unavailability of medical equipments.

He said his appeal for funds to buy incubators was marvelously patronized as many people contributed money through radio programs to buy five incubators.

He and his team members, he said, decided that instead of giving all the five incubators to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, they rather decided that three will go to the premier teaching hospital with the remaining two going to the Wa Regional Hospital and the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.

According to the founder of MA Foundation, due to the lack of essential medical equipment, it is common to find doctors across the country in hopeless situations as they are unable to work effectively.

This, he said, is the motivation that pushed him and others to establish the MA Love Foundation. He noted that much as they cannot do it all, there should be that first push which is what his foundation has been doing for some time now.
The Medical Superintendent of the Wa Regional Hospital, Dr. Aduko Amiah on behalf of staff and management of the hospital thanked MA Love Foundation for the facility.

Dr. Amiah said the kind gesture is for humanity. He added that, he was very much touched when the news got to him that the hospital has been given an incubator. According to him, this alone shows that somebody somewhere has the hospital and the entire staff at heart.

He admitted that, the government alone cannot do it and called on other well meaning people in the country to copy the shining example of MA Love Foundation.

He said much as they appreciate the donation of the incubator to the hospital, the challenges faced by the hospital go beyond that.

He said the hospital needs a theatre and a maternity ward adding, it is quite pathetic to see women struggle at the hospital due to that.

According to him, the situation becomes unbearable during the rainy season calling for the establishment of a theatre to address the plight.
