The Yendi Municipal Assembly has committed itself to providing accommodation for health workers in the area.

The move is a step towards not only ensuring the wellbeing of heath workers in the municipality but also to retain and attract more health personnel to the municipality to ensure quality health delivery.

In this regard, the Assembly has already resolved plans to rehabilitate an abandoned structure which will be used by some officers from the Health Directorate as their residence in the district.

This was revealed in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com by the District Chief Executive for the area, Issah Zakaria.

According to him, the project which is facilitated with the District Development Fund will duly commence this month.

He stressed that this was part of initiatives under the “Better Ghana” agenda to promote the quality lives of people of the area.
