In the bid to reach out to more deprived communities in need of potable water, the Bongo District Assembly has committed a total sum of GHS 45,887.00 to improve water systems in the area.

The initiative discharged under the small town water system is intended to boost accessibility to potable water in the district.

The programme is currently being carried out in the Bongo township, and would be extended to neighbouring communities very soon.

Also in the same district, a project to construct a steel bridge on the Bongo-Balungu road is on course.

This is to boost the road system in the area and improve transportation in the Bongo district.

A total sum of GHS 597,757.64 has been injected into the project by the Assembly to push for a good and quality road so as to ease transportation on the Bongo-Balungu stretch.
