Street lights erected to beef up security

In a bid to reduce the rampant criminal cases in the Yendi, the Municipal Assembly has erected streetlights to brighten up the municipality and also ensure the safety of residents.

In an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the Yendi District Chief Executive Issah Zakaria stated that the area has recorded several robbery cases in recent times and it is expected that the street lighting exercise would augment security to curb the incident of crimes.


He noted that police are also being motivated to be effective in providing the necessary security to the people in the area who are in fear of falling prey to robbers and criminals.

On the issue of ensuring efficiency on the part of assembly members, Hon. Issah Zakaria also disclosed that fifty motorbikes have been presented to Assembly members to solve transportation challenges and make them more mobile.

Nayilifong North, Nayilifong South, Dalogo North, Dalogo South, Zohi East, Zohi West amongst others are some of the beneficiary electoral areas.
