A Development and Training officer of the ARB Apex Bank Ltd, Mr. Yen Sapark has expressed happiness on the ongoing development projects in the Talensi-Nabdam District.
He also commended the efforts of government and the Assembly in moving the Kongo Senior High School (SHS) from its old location to its present site at Pelungu.
Mr. Yen Sapark, made the remark when he donated books and sports items valued at GH¢ 2,500 to three schools and a football club in the Talensi Nabdam district in the Upper East Region.
The beneficiary schools were Kongo Senior High School, which received books, two footballs and trophies, and Sekoti and Nyogbari Junior High Schools (JHS) which received two footballs each. The Asonge Stars football club, also in the District, received two footballs.
He reiterated that this gesture was meant to improve the academic performance of the students, as well as boost their performance during the inter schools soccer competitions.
According to him the move was part of his annual plans to support education in the district.
Mr. Sapark, who is a native of Sekoti and the author of the books he presented, said the books would augment the books of students studying literature.
Mr. Paul Ayamga, Headmaster of Kongo SHS, who received the books on behalf of the school, applauded Mr. Sapark for the kind gesture, and called on other philanthropists to also come on board to support education in the area.
