Assembly hands over 42 motor bikes

The Nanumba South District Assembly has handed over a total of 42 motor bikes meant to aid the operations of government appointees and Assembly members in the District.

This is part of President Mills’ commitment to promote and boost the decentralization system in the Country, and also ease the work of Assembly members in the various Assemblies.

In a short address to hand over these facilities to the beneficiaries, the District Chief Executive for the Nanumba South District Assembly, Alhaji Seidu Amidu said that these facilities were secured through a heavy investment by government and the Assembly, therefore it behoves on them to justify the investment by putting it into good use.

According to him, the government together with the assembly spent a total of GHS 83,128 to complete the procurement of the motor bikes in the district.

He reiterated that with these motor bikes they should be prepared to assist community members in diverse ways which would be of interest to the entire community and the Assembly.
