The Bolgatanga municipal assembly, which double as the upper east regional capital has seen tremendous growth in recent times, as most facilities that is often seen in the country’s capital could also be found in the Municipality.

The town has a first class road network linking to the other districts in the region, making movement of the resident and their goods more easy and accessible.

There has been an increase in the number of financial institutions in the municipality, and can boost of all the big banks in the country, with Social Security Bank, a member of the Societal General Group (SG-SSB) being the latest to open its ultra modern banking hall in the centre of the Bolga township.

some resident of the municipality have expressed delight about the establishment of these banks in the town, making transaction of money so easy and secured for them unlike the first that one has to move to Tamale to do major money transactions, now it is right at their door steps.

Ahmed Sulemana, a student of Bolgatanga Polytechnic and a native of Bolga said “I don’t see the need to move to the country’s capital when everything found there can equally be found in Bolga”.

He pleaded with investors to turn their attention to the Bolgatanga township since there are rich human and natural resources in the municipality.
