Ya Naa Yakubu
Northern Youth for Justice, a youth group from the Dagbon Traditional area are staging a demonstration on some streets in Accra calling for justice for the murder of the overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Na Yakubu Andani II.

Numbering about thousand, the youth called on the government to do more to bring those who perpetrated the crime to face the full rigors of the law.

The demonstration is in response to the acquittal and discharge of the fourteen persons standing trial for the murder of the overlord by a fast track high court in Accra last week.

The demonstrators who carried placards with inscriptions some of which read justice for “Ya Na now” “the judiciary is bias” among others were at the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General where they presented a petition to the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mr. Matin Amidu.

They are also set to present another petition to parliament.
