The Minister of Roads and Highways, Mr. Joe Gidisu announced this when he toured the "Overseas" area to aseess the condition of roads as part of his two-day working visit to the region.

He said the equipment for the bridges had arrived in the country.

Mr. Gidisu said feasibility studies were being carried out on the two rivers and that soil samples had been taken for testing and analysis.

He inspected spot improvement works on the 15-kilometre stretch Funsi-Wahabu-Wa road estimated to cost GH¢ 619,000.

Mr. Gidisu commended the contractor who was working on the road at the time of the inspection for doing a good work and urged him to strive for excellence to enable him to win more jobs.

The Minister urged newsmen to show interest in road works and monitor road projects and report on their progress to put contractors on their toes to deliver quality jobs.

He later inspected works on the tarring of the Funsi town roads, the tarring of which was ongoing.
