The Municipal Chief Executive of Yendi, Hon. Walvice Adama Hudu Mahama has debunked media reports that he is seeking refuge in Tamale as a result of the weekend hostilities that erupted between him and NDC party supporters.

He however explained that he went to Tamale to accomplish some official assignments which were directly related to the Regional Coordinating Council.

Speaking exclusively to Citi News in Tamale, Hon. Walvice Adama debunked allegations that he was awarding contracts illegally.

He also dismissed claims that he had declined to provide sponsorship packages to NDC members at tertiary institutions.

The Yendi MCE confirmed that the NDC irate youth vandalized the constituency Chairman’s pick up and besieged the party office because of misunderstanding over the venue of a proposed meeting of party executives.

He alleged that several party big wigs in the Yendi constituency were behind the incessant attacks on his personality but that he was not perturbed.

Hon. Walvice reiterated his commitment to execute the district’s development agenda to meet President John Mills’ better Ghana agenda and asked residents of the area to be patient.

He also urged the party youth and supporters to remain resolute and support him to meet their high aspirations as plans were afoot to give the Yendi Municipality a facelift.
