The Assembly Member for the Saka Electoral Area in the Bawku West District, Mr. David Awini, has commended the West District Assistance Development Project (BDWADP), a non-governmental organization in Zebilla, for building a block of three classrooms with an office apartment and a store for the Koboro Junior High School (JHS) at a cost of GH¢ 20,000.

The facility has improved enrolment in the area and has discouraged parents from seeking admission in neighbouring villages such as Teshie, Bazoa, and Googo. It has further taken the burden of purchasing bicycles for their wards to travel these distances to attend school.

Mr. Awuni, who spoke to the GNA in an interview, commended the Tengdaana (land owner) of Kobori Lariba Awelinga for releasing the piece of land for the construction of the school which started in 2008 and was completed in the same year.

He congratulated the people of Kobori for organizing communal labour for the project and urged them to maintain the communal spirit.
