DWAP releases funds for development projects

The District Wide Assistance Project (DWAP), a CIDA supported Programme has released GH¢190,000.00 to the East Mamprusi District Assembly for the construction of a number of projects.

Under the programme, a three unit classroom block, office, store, 4-seater KVIP and urinal would be constructed at Timpeila, Gbandabila and Latari while two communities including Gambaga and Nagboo would be provided with a 1 No 10-seater KVIP.


The District Chief Executive for East Mamprusi, Hon.Adam Imoro, who revealed this at the first ordinary meeting of the assembly said the
necessary procedures have all been carried out including adverts, bids and evaluation thus awaiting contruct award.

He informed the members about some selected projects for consideration and approval. The projects were applied for by some communities and are in line with District Medium Team Development Plan.

The prosed projects included construction of Police Staff quarters at Gbintiri, nurses quarters at Sakogu, 3-unit classroom block, office,store, 4-seater KVIP and urinal at Bongbini and Kukugbini.
