DCE promises to foster unity

All 24 assembly members present at an emergency meeting in Kpandai unanimously endorsed the nomination of Mr. Jasper Jatoe Moayi, an educationist as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area.

Mr Maoyi was grateful to the assembly members and all who rallied behind him and announced his readiness to run an open-door administration and foster unity among the various ethnic groups in the district.

Mr Maoyi also promised to improve on the road network in the district to enhance economic activities as well as boost education in the area to avert the falling standard of education in the area.

He appealed to investors especially those interested in agriculture to invest in the district, adding the district had great potentials in agriculture and trade.

He also invited the banks to open branches in the area to help
accelerate economic activitiest.

Northern Regional Minister, Mr. Stephen Sumani Nayina, adviced the DCE to honour his promise of uniting the people and ensure peaceful co-existence in the district.
