{PIC=96: left]Savelugu-Nantom District Assembly is not relenting on efforts to ensure increase in educational standards in the district.

To this end, the assembly through support from Department for
International Development (DFID) has built 3-unit classroom blocks in some communities in the area as a means of boosting infrastructure in the education sector.

Poggu and Sandu are some of the beneficiary communities. Attached to the classroom blocks are places of convinience including KVIP and urinals. There are also offices.

Additonally, Diare and Zieng have also been provided with teachers’ quarters to ease the difficulty of teachers in getting accommodation. It is also believed to serve as incentives for teachers to stay inthe district to offer the necessary help in educating the children.
