The "Hands of Mercy Outreach Orphanage" in Canada, has through its Ghana branch presented seven bales of used clothes and ten large bottles of Vitamins C and some other drugs to the flood victims in Arigu in the Northern Region.

Mr Paul Anaba, Director of the Orphanage in Ghana, said the donation followed an appeal made to the Director of the Canadian NGO, Reverend Deborah Macquarrie, for assistance to the victims.

He said the items would bring comfort to the victims while the drugs would help improve their health conditions.

Mr Nelson Kanzoni and Mr Ben Kanzoni, Assemblyman for Arigu and Chairman of the Arigu community in Accra, jointly received the items on behalf of their kinsmen.

Mr Nelson thanked the NGO for its kind gesture and commended Mr Anaba for his kind gesture.
