Officials in the northern region plan to spend ¢2 billion to rehabilitate houses that were destroyed in the conflict between Konkombas and Bimobas in Jimbali in the northern region.
Speaking to Joy News, the District Chief Executive of the Bunkpurugu Yunyoo, Elizabeth Poyari said the over 200 houses that were burnt during the conflict will be reconstructed by the District Assembly.
The conflict resulted in the death of six people.
She also said most residents who fled their homes during the conflict have returned.
According to her, calm has returned to the area and the two groups are co-existing peacefully.
Meanwhile, the joint police and military force posted to the area to keep the peace are reported to be working both day and night to maintain the peace.
She said the assembly will provide cement and roofing sheets to residents whose homes have been destroyed to rehabilitate them.
