"Overseas" Invaded by Crocodiles

The Member of Parliament for Yakgaba Kubori, Hon. Ibrahim Tanko, says his constituency, known as the overseas area of the Northern region has not received any help from government since the floods that hit the region.

Speaking to Joy News, Hon. Tanko said his constituency which covers the area known as overseas in the Northern region is one of the severely hit areas.

He said, even though the flood waters have been receding, the area still remains cut off from the rest of the country.

He also said the area have been infested with crocodiles as a result of the flooding, which has moved the reptiles from their natural habitats.

He told Joy News that at least two crocodiles have been killed by the people, but he said they have now been advised not to the kill the reptiles.
