Kpare Gets New Chief

Mr Zumoh Baligi has been installed a Divisional chief of Kpare in the Jirapa/Lambussie District in the Upper West Region under the skin name Kpare Naa, Naa Baloree-Zumoh Baligi II.

He succeeds his late brother, Naa Bakyene Baligi, who died in 1998.

The well attended and colourful ceremony was witnessed by several chiefs and their retinue, led by the Paramount Chief of Jirapa Traditional Council, Naa Ansoleh Ganah II, who is known in private life as Mr Peter Nanfuri, a former Inspector General of Police (IGP), as well as high profile government officials and Members of Parliament (MP’s) from the area.
