Mr. Obetsebi-Lamptey, outgoing minister for Tourism and Diasporan Relations launched the Joseph project at Tumu in the East Sissala District.

The Tumu Kuoru Gilbert Badjoa Kanton V, Paramount Chief of the Tumu Traditional Area, said it was disheartening to think about the slavery because of its dehumanising manner and the way it has also divided many families.

He however said the Joseph Project would help re-unite families and urged the blacks in the Diaspora to be more committed to tracing their roots.

Kuoru Kanton appealed to the district assembly and the Ghana Tourist Board to develop tourist sites in the district.
