GT Launches Broadband 4U at Tamale

Ghana Telecom has launched its Broadband 4U Internet Service in Tamale, to enable its customers in the Northern and Upper Regions of Ghana to access the internet in the comfort of their homes 24 hours a day.

Speaking at the launch, the Northern Regional Manager of GT, Kweku Kusi, noted that, the company is required to make quality and affordable communications services accessible to all Ghanaians saying, " part of our mission is to remain innovative and ensure that Ghanaians become part of the global village and that they take part in the vast opportunities that advances in ICT and the world wide web provide".

Broadband 4U Internet Service debuted three years ago in the Greater Accra Region and its environs, adding that, not too long ago, Ghana Telecom introduced its fist Dialup4U Internet Service nationwide.

Mr Kusi said, Broadband4U from GT is the latest and fastest as well as the most efficient and reliable Internet Service by which one can access the Internet in Ghana today, disclosing that the ongoing rollout programme across the country "has been a huge success."

Launching the product, the General Manager/Marketing Communication on Fixed Network Service of GT, Joseph Wireko said, the company wants to ensure that all Ghanaians are hooked on to some means of electronic telecommunication to do business and communicate with the rest of the world.

Mr Wireko said, the BB4U product is not only for browsing but one can still use the telephone to receive and make calls whiles browsing.
