Mr. James Nyaaba, the Deputy General Manager of the company, told the GNA that the suspected robbers gave warning shots, beat up and tied the night watchman, locked him up in one of the security rooms and carried out the burglary.

He said he received a call from the company's storekeeper about the burglary and called the Savelugu Police who responded swiftly but that by the time they got there the robbers had bolted. Mr. Nyaaba said the watchman who sustained various degrees of injuries had been treated and discharged at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
