The Customs, Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS), in the Upper East Region on Wednesday donated food items and cash estimated at four million cedis to patients of the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.

The items included 100 tubers of yams, three crates of tomatoes, a quantity of onions, a goat and cash one million cedis. The presentation was made on behalf of CEPS by the Regional Sector Commander Mr. Anthony Sewor and received by the Principal Nursing Officer, Madam Adishetu Salifu.

Mr. Sewor said CEPS organised a thanks-giving service at the Christ Apostolic Church in Bolgatanga where an appeal for funds yielded the amount used for the donation.

Madam Salifu thanked CEPS for the donation and appealed for more. Mr. Edward Kaba, Hospital Administrator, assured CEPS that the donation would be put to good use and urged other organisations to follow the example of the CEPS.
