The Mines, Lands and Forestry Minister Prof Dominic Fobih who was at a cocktail reception to outdoor the operations of company is looking forward to the first mining company starting off in the Northern sector of the country

"The programme to outdoor the operations of Azumah Resources was hosted by the Australian High Commissioner to Ghana John Richardson, who called for more business relations between the two countries".

"Whatever benefit the nation derives from mining does not seem to taste much of it. in terms of employment, in terms of even royalty payments to certain communities and then social responsibilities by mining companies and so on".

"And of course their contribution as generating mineral resources to support the development of the country"

"Whatever it takes for me to make to make sure that the knot is also brought to the realm the mineral exploitation, we will do that. I am happy that AZUM resources has taken the lead in reaching so far as to the point that within the next three months we will get the final word as to setting up a mining operation there, so that is good news to me", he said.
