Wing Commander Eric Dakurah (Rtd), the Nadowli District Chief Executive, has condemned people hiding under the clouds of land and chieftaincy disputes to create problems in the district.
He said such acts were not only impeding the development of the area, but are also an indictment on the district and its people as a whole.

Wing Commander Dakurah was speaking during the first ordinary session of the Nadowli District Assembly.

He said socio-economic development cannot be achieved in a state of fear and insecurity and appealed to the people to identify and expose the troublemakers in the district to face the full rigours of the law.

"I want to use this platform to make a passionate appeal to everyone of us here to play the role that is entrusted to us so that the entire district will continue to enjoy peace and tranquility."

On development projects, the DCE said plans are advanced to extend electricity to more communities, provide small town pipe-borne water and to improve on the road network to encourage investors into the district.

Naa Abu Abdurahaman, the Presiding Member, appealed to members to use the orthodox means of regaining their positions in the forthcoming district level elections.

He appealed to the environmental sub-committee in the assembly to institute periodic clean-up programmes throughout the District to encourage cleanliness`.

Naa Abdurahaman urged revenue collectors of the Assembly to step up their activities in order to increase income for development projects in the district.
