Nabdam Youth Association Commends President

The Kumasi branch of the Nabdam Youth Association has commended President J.A. Kufuor for nominating Mr Boniface Agambilla as the Upper East Regional Minister. The association also extended gratitude to Parliament for approving Mr Agambilla's nomination.

The commendation was contained in a congratulatory message issued by the association in Kumasi on Monday and signed by its secretary, Mr John Sapaad.

Members of the association appealed to all sons and daughters of the Nabdam community to co-operate with Mr Agambilla to enable him to steer the affairs of the Upper East region to progress. "We the youth are proud of Mr Agambilla and hope the Members of Parliament and opinion leaders will assist him to bring peace and stability to the region," the statement added.

They appealed to Mr Agambilla to give priority attention to the development of education and agricultural sector.

The association lauded the initiative and sensitivity of the government to the plight and needs of the people as evidenced in the creation of a new district for the Nabdams and Talensis.
