A cross section of NPP youth led by the Constituency Chairman of the party in the Bole-Bamboi constituency Mr Sulemana Zakaria embarked on a demonstration today at Bole to get the DCE for the district, Madam Veronica Alele Herming removed from office.

An unusual rainstorm has plunged the entire Bole Township in the Bole-Bamboi district of Northern Ghana into total darkness. The rainstorm which occurred between the hours of 8:30pm and 10:00pm Monday night caused a lot of destruction.

The hardest hit areas are the Bole Health Centre and Kurabaso Primary School where the roofs of both buildings got totally ripped off. The strong winds pulled down a mosque at Yelwe near Atta 130's house.The old roofs of the Ghana Commercial Bank story building in the district got ripped off as well.

Alhaji Samson Siedu Abudu, the Bole District Chief Executive, has cautioned assembly members and the people of the Bole District against frequent agitations for the removal of their Chief Executives without any justifiable cause and at the slightest excuse.

He said that attitude was impacting negatively on the development of the district as no DCE was left to stay long enough to execute any meaningful development in the area.

Bole District Mutual Health Insurance Scheme (BDMHIS) has registered 49,998 clients by the end of September this year.

Mr Mahama Felix Saaka, the Scheme Manager who announced this said it had mobilized 274.7 million cedis in premiums and paid 304 million cedis as medical claims for clients with about 8.6 million cedis being the highest amount paid to a client.
