The Paramount Chief of Mion, Alhaji Mahamadu Abdulai has donated 100 bags of cement to Yendi based Senior High School, Dagboŋ State.

Dagboŋ State Senior High / Technical School launched their walling project to help create a safe and conducive environment for both Students and Masters on campus. Dagboŋ State Senior High School in their efforts to raise funds for this Project served His Royal Highness, Alhaji Mahamadu Abdulai a letter soliciting for help. As part of the social responsibilities of the Mion Traditional Secretariat, Naa Mahamadu Abdulai saw the need to pay a visit to the School and to also asses the progress of the ongoing walling Project.

Naa Mahamadu Abdulai was flanged with Mion-Kpana Lana, Mion-Sakpale Lana Alhaji Zibs, Mion Naazonima, and some members of his Secretariat.

TheParamount Chief was received warmly by the School headmaster and his two assistants, Senior House Masters, Teachers and the entire Student body.

In the welcome address by the School Headmaster, he expressed his joy and excitement to have received his Royal Highness Naa Mahamadu Abdulai in his school today 9th July, 2020.

The Mion-Lana (HRH) noted in his remarks that “I have paid you this visit today in response to your earlier letter asking for my widow’s mite in your ongoing self-help school walling project. I am happy that your initiative is a good one and yielding results, especially now that Covid-19 pandemic is a challenge to us. He added that, the idea of walling the School will prevent students from leaving the school without permission and will also block neighbors from intruding into the School unnecessarily. He said this will also help in the fight of the spread of Corona Virus since students cant have easy exit.”

Naa Mahamadu Abdulai after his remarks, donated 100 bags of cement to aid the school walling Project.

He called on all and sundry especially philanthropists to do more donations to help the school finish the Project successfully.

He promised to personally do more donations anytime the circumstance avails it self.

His Royal Highness saw it a necessity to advice students to take their academic work seriously.

Headmaster, PTA and Board Chairs, gave short speeches thanking the Mion-Lana (HRH) for his singular gesture.

The Covid 19 protocols were seriously observed with all students and Masters in nose mask including the the Paramount Chief and his subordinates.
